Today was a very difficult day, it was my first full day at the disabled orphanage. Was up at 0630 and caught the combi (packed to the rafters with locals) before arriving at Chakkawassy Orphanage. I'm at the placement with Jess (from our house), she's just changed placements and it was her first day too. We arrived and were instructed to look after a group of the more disabled among them. Well yesterday was the start of my placement. We left the house at 0840 and walked the 20mins to our various places. Claire and Jess headed right down the hill to the kindy they attend and I headed straight on to mine. I kept walking and walking but couldnt seem to recognise my building. I eventually decided to double back on myself and start the route again, yep I'd missed the hill on the left I was supposed to take! Having found the kindergarten I stood outside...

Thought I'd update you on the last few days here in Cusco. After having arrived back on Sunday night I slept well. Hola from Machu Picchu! Saturday saw me, Clare and Annie get up early to catch the 7am train from Cusco to Machu Picchu. Its a 4hr train journey and now too bad a journey.
