We made it to Agde! Our first time figuring out how to use the train system in Europe was ...... Confusing. REALLy confusing! We rode the metro around Barcelona for about an hour having NO IDEA how to even get to the station that had above ground trains. Once we finally figured it out we took the train from Barcelona to Perpignan then switched trains and went to Adge! Not a bad train ride.. Lots of pretty scenery and we got a taxi from the train station that took us to our campsite! (les champs blanc). We had to hurry because the cutoff time for arriving was 7pm. We arrived at about 615 but the reception an everything was closed. The people at te restaurant in the campsite were looking over and over and over our paperwork trying to find some sort of info that we missed so that they wouldn't have to check us in.. But nope! They were wrong! So we set up camp and went to the nearest market... Got some groceries and had a nice little candlelit dinner on the ground! Ha most of the people there were older and had travel trailers all set up like they had been there for months! It was such a beautiful place and had a huge waterpark, we had our own private bathroom and electricity. The next day we woke up early and walked about 2 or 3 miles to find the beach and spent the entire day there! The most beautiful beach that I have EVER seen... I'll be uploading lots of pics!! The woman who worked in the reception told us that we could wash our clothes at all times of the day.. although it was broken English she should have really learned the phrase "the dryer will shut off when I decide to go home" because thats exactly what it did. We washed most of our clothes and she shut off the power before our clothes were even halfway dry!! And there was "nothing she could do about it". What a load of crap! So we had to pack up all of our clothes... Soaking wet! Ew! But hey what can you do? So we grabbed a taxi back to the train station and took the train to Paris! Once again, train super confusing bit we got to sit in 1st class for the first hour! Haha until we figured out that there were assigned seats! Oops! Once we got into Paris it was time to start the real adventure... We had no plans, no reservations, no hostels booked and no Internet! So we walked around for about an hour (with our 50/70 lb packs on- were starting to shed stuff!)finding out that most hostels and hotels were booked! We stumbled across a random door that said hotel on it and decided to try! Only 38 euros/night! Most were about 80-95/ night! He warned us that the bathrooms were outside of the room and that most people didn't want that.. But hey! Who cares??? The room ended up being PERFeCt!!! A beautiful balcony overlooking the busy streets and we left the big windows open all night. Couldn't have asked for better!! We walked around the town and went to bed early! Now we just went and made reservations for a train tomorrow from Paris to Bern, Switzerland with a connection in Basel. Were going to camp on Interlaken for a few days then on Wednesday we'll take the train from Bern to Milan, Italy then Milan to Pisa! We'll stay in the Pisa/ Livorno area for a few days then head to Rome! Then Rome to Pescara then take a water ferry to Croatia! Were having a blast and couldnt be happier! Some parts are stressful but we've learned to laugh it off and take in the full experience of adventure! We love and miss everyone very very much! We have postcards all filled out but we have no idea where to get stamps or where you can mail them! So... It might be a while!!
