Last full day in Nha Trang and travel plans are in place for tomorrow's journey. It's a short 1 hour flight to HCMC almost as long as the taxi from our hotel to Nha Trang airport.
We need to move on. Yvonne actually complained it was a bit cool today. The BBC weather says its 32 degrees!
Sat in our usual cafe watching the traffic which is fascinating. Crossing the road is taking your life in your hands every time. Embarrassingly the hotel actually has a lollipop man to help you cross the main beach road. Being now hardened travellers we don't need the lollipop man but enjoy watching the new arrivals struggle. Even if you wait for the green on a proper zebra crossing the traffic does not stop - ever. You basically play chicken by staring down the motorbikes and hoping anything bigger than a motorbike's driver has their glasses on. Peeping and flashing headlights are a signal that the driver has seen you and will try to avoid you but is not stopping. The other scary bit is that despite the endless traffic, peeping and flashing you must also not stop as they expect you to keep moving and stopping is somehow worse than blithely carrying on. Our only concession to the traffic when crossing the road is that we stick together to make the target smaller.
