End of day 1, 24th June.

Hello from the Mother country. After arriving at Vienna airport at 6:30am, I was picked up from the airport by Zoli, mum and dad. Hungary is in the middle of a heat wave, so its hotter than usual for this time of year.

A quick drive down the Auto barn, and we arrive in Janossmorja. It does not take long to be dragged around town to see the locals. By 11:30am I have been to 3 pubs, drunk countless cans of beer, and had a couple parlincor. At the last pub, the owner has dragged me next door to look at his garden. Its very nice. Before long we are having more drinks. I notice his house handyman is using a plane that looks to be 100 years old. He gives it to me to keep, but unfortunately as its made of timber I dont think I would get it through customs, so I say thanks, but no thanks.

Back at the house I meet Zoli and Eta children Zoli jnr, Chobey, and Edner. All are very friendly. Both boys still live at home, but Edner lives across the road. She has a hair salon on the ground floor, and lives upstairs with her daughter Dorothy. The basement is rented to Chobey who has a tackle shop. Dorothy is 10 years old, and a very cute little girl. Reminds me alot of Ellie.

As their house is very small, its been organised that myself and dad will sleep at the pub on the corner, Dominos. Its a small pub, but very clean so I cant complain. All rooms share the 1 toilet, and shower. Com.

After dinner Zoli, dad and myself have a few drinks with the locals at the pub. I meet and english speaking local who chews my ears off. Nice bloke, and we have alot of fun. Dad plays cards with the locals and gets beat by a 80 year old card shark in a wheel chair. Not sure if he went soft as he felt sorry for him. After a while we start drinking shots and I go to bed well and trully shot.
