Picked up the motor today managed to get 2.5 volkswagon jetta nice.
It was that or a chrysler cruiser a right munter of a vehicle so rather than look like noddy and big ears out cruising we gratfully accepted the jetta.
After driving 300 miles in it today we made the right decision.Gordon was very good and surprisingly so was Sue.The scenery was non existent just miles and miles of very flat fields, but we knew this.then eventually we left the state of Illinois behind us and crossed the vast Mississippi into Missouri.Hotel is very nice, another good decision from travel agent Dave.
Tomorrow we are off exploring St louis, dont think we will have time to do the Budweiser tour. Its probably very like the Guiness tour in Dublin.
Emma guess what-they have reeces pieces mcflurrys, haven't had one yet.
Sue hasn't been shopping yet,but theres lots of time for that.

Laura Jealous. Off for my last night shift tonight, then breakfast at The De Vere. Glad the sat nav is all good.
Teresa & Kev We are sat watching the Grand Prix, they have just stopped the race due to very heavy rain. I am glad Gordon is behaving and hope Sue gets to do some shopping soon.
Trevor Yes, we are jealous too. Love the car, could do with one ourselves! An excellent picture of Dave and the car, who is the photographer? Good to hear Gordon performing well Sue's right ear must benefit. We are nearly washed away, water butt overflowing. Take good care. Trevor and Chris
