On 12th June 09, I'll be flying from London to Dushanbe to explore the Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Xinjiang, N.W. China. The (vague) plan is to buy a cheap, local motorcycle in Dushanbe, then take it along the Pamir Highway, which cuts through the Pamir mountains, just north of Afghanistan's Wakhan corridor.
I think I'll then take the bike across the border into Kyrgyzstan (if they'll let me), and head towards the Tian Shan range which straddles the Chinese border. I'll then have to …
