We've had a busy few last days which is why we havent updated this recently.
Yesterday we went out to the Great Barrier Reef on "SilverSonic" which was a lovely new boat, only holding about 60ish people so it was never crowded during the day. We went to 3 different reef sites through out the day and snorkelled at each. We saw lots of coral, some massive fish aswell as lots of smaller brightly coloured ones. Laura got very nervous at the first site and after I told her to get back on board or jump in she got on with it and really enjoyed the day. We had a lovely seafood lunch, where we both had crab, octopus, squid and prawns :) We then went out for dinner at a bar and grill in town which was most delish.
Today we got up relatively early and went to the Port Douglas Wildlife Habitat. This turned out to be a really good morning and we saw all sorts of birds, animals and creatures. We both got the chance to stroke a snake and a saltwater croc which was really good. We also bought some food and fed kangaroo's, wallabys and birds. One of the biggest kangaroo slobbered all over my hand which Laura found very funny! This afternoon I went fishing but didnt catch anything (neither did anyone else there so thats ok) and laura went shopping.
Over the next few days we'll be chilling out and getting ready to move onto Scotty's Beach House at Mission Beach
Much love
