Been in India 10 days and already cracked bollywood lol, Friday me and Dan got offered to be extra's in a bollywood film normally when people approach you in the streets back home and ask you to be in a film you would just ignore them but over here for tourits its the norm. Would love to think it was my good looks and personality that got me the part but for once being white in India does have its uses lol. Unfortunatly for Dan he experienced the first case of Delhi belly on this trip and has been laid low since so i decided to go off do the film myself. Got told to meet outside our hostel at 8am where there was 6 other people that had been asked to do it. 2 girls from Holland(Ila & Lana), 2 from Australia (Anita & Rachel) and a London guy named olly we got the taxi to the train station and had to get a train to the set. I have never seen anything like it on the trains out here you seriously have to fight and throw people around if you wanna get off on your stop somehow we all managed to get off safe and sound. Anyway we arrived at the filmset it was hardly a big hollywood studio but it had aircon so we were all pleased. Then the director mentioned something about costume funny how the guy that roped us in to doing this forgot to mention about the costumes. I was in a blue suit and the dodgest tie you have ever seen. I will upload the pics as soon as i can just the computers out here are so slow takes forever. Me and Olly had to wear suits I dont think they really cared what we look like because both our suits were one size to big but luckily for me i got to keep my trainers on. We got onto set and walked straight past the lead woman dont think she was impressed but she could have been the water girl to us we still wouldnt have known. She was Amisha Patel apparently she is a huge star here in India we should have realised really because this woman doesnt lift a finger people even hold the phone up to her ear when she talks. Unfortunatly the life on an extra is not all glitz and glamour but we had a great time we were in a few scenes mainly just bar scenes where the director said all we had to do is smile and talk I knew my drama GCSE would come in handy one day lol. Anyway at 1pm we broke for lunch the food was amazing and a guy called Raj taught us how to eat using our right hand you only use your right hand for eating out here. Then we got told to wait in a room with all the other Indian extra's while they filmed the solo scenes with Amisha. It was really good we got talking to a few of them most of them asked me why i was wearing white trainers with a blue suit, I told them it was the hip hop culture back in London and you could get away with it. Not many of them seemed to know what hip hop was so i had send my ipod round and let them listen to Snoop Dog although still dont think they got the white trainers. Anyway me and Olly had a scene where it was just us 2 with Amisha and some other girls we got told to dance now im not the biggest dancer at the best of time and they didnt even give us any background music to dance to. The director wanted us to be like John Travolta but think we ended up dancing more like David Brent but we did it in one take so either we were that good or that bad that they decided to cut it lol. We kept asking people what film we were shooting for but no one gave us a straight answer finally we found out it was a comerical for an investment company so unfortunatly my big bollywood break will not make it to the UK.

Anyway we finished shooting at 9pm at night was a long long day and we decided to get the train back and go get a meal. We had been paid 500 rupees for the day so that covered us for the meal. We all had a great meal then went for drinks in what must be the only Irish bar in the whole of India. Was probably my best day yet in India. Just gonna relax today and get some food then tomorrow if Dan has recovered we are gonna go to the Taj Mahal. Anyway thats me for another day my fingers are doing better on pain killers but dont feel as sore today. When i find a decent internet cafe i will upload some more pics cya!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
