That blasted rain has scuppers our pedalo plans! We were promised a sunny Saturday but instead were given something very different. I spent the day finishing off my second book of the year and starting my third - Catching Fire.

We decided to pay a visit to the museum in Eidford this afternoon. Yay! How much was it? 120 NOK each. Boooo! So we headed to the gift shop instead! I bought a couple of bookmarks, a moose fridge magnet, and a cheese slicer in a gift box. We got talking to the woman on the till there. She has 6 horses so she's going riding tomorrow with her daughter when the sun's out. Wow. She also told us certain interesting things about Norwegian life. For instance there's a 'law' (whether she meant law, I don't know) that children have to spend a certain amount of time outside every day. English kids need that! Being inside drives them to distractions in the form of dodgy film, TV, websites and games. Maybe this 'law' accounts for Norwegian friendliness? The clerk admitted the children were brave. I'll say! On the way up there was a little boy and a girl just walking by the side of the main road - they looked like Hansel and Gretal, which in England looks like paedo feed. Financial fail of the day:
£13 entry ticket for the museum, but we jumped that shark. Then I paid £9.76 for two bookmarks!
