Our ride from Border Village to Ceduna went smoothly. I've never seen the whole Nullabor looking so green, as if a giant artist has painted the earth with different blobs of gentle green. There was a headwind all the way and we have seen several young pushbikers doing the Nullabor the hard way! No wonder they all look so skinny! Young Europeans and one pretty young New Zealand woman pushbiking.
Dave and I are finding all the grey nomads pulling caravans are very curious to find out more about our mode of travel. Everyone on the road or in caravan parks is so friendly and we are picking up useful local travel information from people as we go.
Tonight we have taken a cosy cabin in Ceduna; this feels like a real treat as we rode through rain to get here at the end of the afternoon. We did our usual walk to a local supermarket to buy whatever is in season, and Dave cooked up the yummiest butter chicken meal. We have been having muesli and fruit for breakfast every day as it's so easy to do and healthy. Both of us have been doing our "stretchies" every morning too...no not what some of you may be thinking, but real yoga type moves ha ha! And at the end of every day we go for our exercise walk wherever we happen to be...a good way to explore each area. (Though I think we bit off more than we planned when we were 2 hours bushwalking in Hopetoun recently! Dave says he wasn't lost...and I'm always lost.) Yes, I have to admit to trying to turn the wrong way and head back to WA on 2 occasions! Just as well I have my trusty navigator Dave with me.
