On our way to Kaiteriteri we stopped for lunch at The Jester Cafe in Tasman. The best chowder I've ever had. Yum! Next to the cafe were loads of eels in the adjacent stream. We bought a pot of eel food from the cafe and, with many nervous shrieks from Hilary and Gill, had some fun at feeding them.
