Woke up this morning at about 8am. I can't seem to sleep for very long. 11am and all of us "newbies" got together for our orientation morning. Went to set up our bank accounts at WestPac, had a visit to the TravellersAtWork office and went to get our MediCare stuff sorted. Popped in to a nice little shop opposite the MediCare centre called "Treats From Home" where you can buy many UK branded foods. Evelyn decided she had to buy some PG Tips....

Day two was much like the first, in that I again spent the whole day soaking up the sun on Bondi Beach. Didn't burn at all. I like this Australian sun. There are a group of about 10 of us that chip in each night to buy food and then someone cooks it up. This means that we all get a decent meal for around $3 each, which is amazing considering a McDonalds meal costs around $7. Wow, that was a long plane journey. 12 hours to Singapore went pretty quickly as that's when I actually got my 4 hours of kip. Had an hour and a half changeover in Singapore, where I managed to deposit Joe's meatballs as requested, and then another 7 hours to Sydney. Couldn't complain too much because I had an emergency exit aisle seat. I could stretch my legs out as far as I liked. Get in!!
