I just looked at the last blog and it looks like dave wrote so much that they cut off half he said!! typical technoilogy!!! I'll try and finish it off.

After being in Pucon for a couple of days with the 3 clients we all then trekked it south to some more waterfalls!! I was very chuffed becasue one of the guys admitted that if I hadnt been there 'running the s***' he would have portaged quite alot of the drops, but he couldnt lose face to a girl!!!HAHA anyway in all I think we did 12 new rivers in 14 days. Not bad going. Just to bore you they were the rio Teno (upper and lower), the 7 Teacups (twice), the 22 Teacups, the Laja (the 3-stitches-in-the-eyebrow-for-me river), the Cautin, the Truful Truful, Palguin, Upper Trancura, Llancahue, Fuy, Gol Gol and finally the Petrohue. Then we had to say goodbye to the clients. that was sad they were so much fun. Crazy germans!!!i havent laughed so hard in ages.

But as if me and Dave hadnt had enough hucking waterfalls we immediately took our friend Xavier, another safety kayaker in town, to the Fuy and the Llancahue for two days because he hadnt done them yet and I had had to miss out on the Llancahue becasue of teaching a lesson!! Phew!!

That whole trip has definately been a highlight so far!! And it was a couple of months ago now!! Since then we worked pretty solidly through the height of the summer season, But then literally over night pucon was deserted by all the chilean tourists and it has now returned to being a quiet town and we dont have much work anymore. This has meant that we have been able to do a little bit of freelance safety kayaking, But as a girl I am finding it annoying to say the least having to fight with the men around here. Im the only female safety kayaker in town and this is where it is annoying to be working alongside your boyfriend, becasue they prefer men. oh well. im sure this wont be the first or last place I find sexism in the kayaking community.

ANYHOO!!hopefully we have pursuaded our boss to take us to the futaleufu river in a couple of weeks time and then we will only have a month left!!im very much looking forward to eating some good english cheese with a good english cup of tea!!!
