Day 47 - The fine weather persisted with the sea breeze picking up in the morning, just the day that we had booked a half day boat cruise to the island of Delos, about 30 minutes from Mykonos's Old Port harbour. The island is 5km long and 1km wide and is now a fairly barren island. Its main attraction is the old ruins and modern museum containing sculptures and artefacts dating back to 300 years BC. This suggests that the origin of Greek settlement started here. The island is home only to those who work here catering for the many tourists who visit daily. The trip home was a fairly rough ride. Winds were gusting over 30 knots and it was a relief to enter the sheltered waters of Mykonos. The afternoon was spent exploring more of Fabrika, followed by dinner in one of the many traditional Greek restaurants.
