Cameron highlands... Day 2
Today we have been on a trip round the highlands. the trip cost 20 riggit, well actually we haven't paid for it yet so technically so far its free. Which in terms of pounds thats like 3 lol. bargain! we got picked up at 8.45 and first of all we went to one of the oldest temples in the highlands, although it doesn't look it due to a generous sultan. After that we went to the rose centre which has more than 450 species of flowers. There was some beautiful ones which included roses as well as various other kinds. After i long trek up so stairs i reached the top of the centre which boasts some glorious views. After a good 45 mins we headed across the road to the strawberry farm where we sampled some of the local strawberry produce. After filling up on strawberries we headed up to the BOH (Best of Highlands) tea factory, which is run by a Scottish family. We were treated to a free guide tour of the factory then we sat on the viewing platform of the cafe and looked out over the tea fields. Next we headed to the bee farm which wasn't that exciting but good nonetheless. Then we stopped by a small marketplace where we bought some steamed sweet potatoes which were really tasty. our final stop was the butterfly farm, which even tho the name suggest it only contains butterfly it actually contains many insects and reptiles too. I got chance to hold a scorpion which was an experience i can say.
So tomorrow we bid the highlands good bye in search of warm climates and town life in penang which is an island off the west coast of malaysia.
