So it was goodbye to Chistchurch, not before having a the best Indian Meal I have ever tasted in a place called two Fat Indians. I had a Lamb dish specialised in this restaurant only. and it was gorgeous. The Lamb here is so tasty but the way it was cooked too, I would go out on a limb and say that was the best curry i have ever tasted.
The short trip up to Kaikora was very uneventful, and the highlight was when I got off the bus, to see Kimberley still at the hostel, she was going to work on a farm for a while there, and was just leaving. Was great to see her and catch up though.
So what should I do here, Whale Watch or Swim with Dolphins? Since I had already swam ih Dolpins in Sydney I decided to Whale Watch, and I wasn't disappointed! They tracked a single soerm whale who was to be honest very uninteresting, apart from when he dived under, full tail flip! But we had to wait 40 minutes to see him again after evry dive. Luckily on the way back we ran into a whole group of Orca Whales or Killer Whales as we know them! This was worth the money on its own, and I have a great videao of them breaching. The Kings of the Ocean! What a marvelous sight. We also were privey to a couple of penguins shooting past!
What a highlight to the finale of the Siuth Island, from here it was back to Auckland to catch up with Emily before I head to Fiji.
