Moved on to Kalbarri via the Chapman valley (Angie's maiden name). Disappointed to find the vineyard shut, which we later found out was because the two brothers had fallen out. Following on from yesterday's abortive attempt to get a drink at Greenhough's old Hampton pub which we found shut (well it was a Thursday!!), we're not doing too well on the drinks front.
Stopped at a lovely old homestead, Oakabella, only to find the owner was in Perth picking up an award for tourism!! Has someone been warning everyone that we were coming...
Found a campsite at Wagoe, at the end of a dirt road on a bleak landscape which we weren't keen on at first, but we decided to stay because we like having the shower to ourselves and actually it's great to wake up to the view of the sea plus there's fantastic sunsets.
Quad biking on the sand dunes this morning...great fun. Lovely sea cliff walk this evening...fitness here we come.
