We had a chilled out morning and got briefed by Remi who was gona be our camping guide. Sidra had been amazing and battled her fears of creepy crawlies over the first 2 days and decided to return to the B+B while the rest of the team decided to go for a 2 night camp in the middle of the jungle (a different location to uncle tans). Remi gave us a machete each (lovin it!) and told us what else to bring (mozzie repellant-like it helped!) We set off for the camp at 11am and spotted a croc along the way. As soon as we got into the clearing, we each took off to find suitable trees to use to build our own little den. We used our machetes to cut down some trees and Remi, Yan and Took Took helped lay out the foundations for the hut (well row of beds). We lay 2 really long logs horizontally on top of smaller ones with space for beds in between (you'll have to see the photos to see what I mean!) We then put 2 poles perpendicularly to the first two to make each bed. Each bed consisted of a canvas sacks laid over 2 poles (like a sturdy hammock). I'm rubbish at describing stuff! But anyway, it began to look pretty awesome! We then put thinner sticks up beside each bed, which we hung individual mozzie nets from. Finally we hung 2 pieces of tarpaulin over the whole shebang. (Which you'll find later on we blatantly didn't hang properly! Haha!)
