Day 3
Awoke (those who actually got some sleep) to the sound of low flying planes (the park is right beside the airport runway) and an excavator which was digging a hole two meters from our door.
JD went for a run, then took Olivia and Matilda for a bike ride along the beach, while Grace and I went for a walk along beautiful Henley West beach.
Found a decent coffee at 'Primo' on the beach front and set off to get supplies and another DVD (Death aVading Device) player!
Left Adelaide a little begrudgingly as it was such a beautiful day and the beach front is so lovely we could easily have stayed another day.
Although not our longest drive to Port Augusta (298kms) it certainly felt like it! Even after our arrival, at the highgated Discovery Park, where the pool was closed and the wifi didn't work and noone wanted sausage for tea; some didn't let up! Little kids took the walkie talkies to the playground till dark.... We had been warned it would take a week for everyone to find their feet......
On a high note we have discovered ensuite camp sites, for only an extra $10 you get a cement parking bay, power water and your very own bathroom!!! Showers for everyone!
