So we got our roommates at 3:00 am last night; they seem like pretty nice guys. We got up around 9:30 this morning and got ready for the day. We went to the vistor center and bought our tickets for the all-day hop-on hop-off bus tour which came with a complimentary boat cruise down the river Thames, and also we bought tickets to the Tower of London. It was all very cool. We took a lot of pictures, but still haven't figured out how to get them on the computer - still a work in progress. Leigh claims that the Tower of London is just holding her jewelry until she's ready to take it all back. After our tours, we walked from Westminster to an English pub called Clarence. The food wasn't bad, but the portions are not anything like we're used to. Small! After the pub we took a walk through Green Park to Buckingham Palace. Green Park is very nice, the grass is perfectly cut and birds are everywhere. Signs say don't feed the pelicans-but there are no pelicans, only pigeons and wierd looking ducks and swans. All the parks in London are very beautiful. The river tour was cool, we were able to see an exact replica of Shakespeare's Globe Theatre. The tour guides/commentators are very entertaining to listen to which makes the tours fun. Tomorrow we plan to go on a tour of Westminster Abbey and go through the National Gallery (they are free! there isn't too many things that are free in London). And if we have time maybe we can make it out to Kensington Palace. We're going to go on another bus tour and most likely a pub crawl. So we'll post again tomorrow.
