Uyuni is a fast change to the Amazon. We have totally changed environments and climates. In the morning we leave the humid tropical jungle of Rurrenabaque in our small plane. Two more 45 minute flights later we touch down in the dry cold desert of Uyuni. The airport is a small unfinished building and is an absolute dump not surprisingly. A short taxi ride and we dump our bags at a tour company and prepare ourselves for our next adventure to the Salt Flats. It has been go go go at this stage but this hasn't impaired our travels. We take a jeep with 5 other girls to the Salt Flats. Our eyes cannot believe how unbelievable this place is as we start to see the distant stretch of white salty flats. The largest Salt Flats in the World and the most beautiful. This place is a photographers dream. Pure whit ground with a blue sky with a few clouds hovering above. We are so glad we came to this place. Words cannot describe the site we saw. It was like a painting. Hopefully some of our photos will enlighten you but I'm afraid they won't do it justice.

An extremely large family pizza for dinner and a short one night stay and its time to get back on the road to Potosi.
