Stray dogs and cats are every where in Thailand. They're rail thin and usually on the mangy side, but most have been friendly. The streets and Wats are full of wild packs of dogs. For Buddhists, Thais don't seem to care about animal welfare. I guess they pick and choose what they like about Buddhism. The Chinese Buddhists are the only ones who are vegetarians here.
