Managed to cut down out getting ready time by 3 minutes today. Some of us quickly had a bathroom break before we set off though, so we'll say we made it for 8am this morning.
Another long drive today, however not as long as some others. We arrived in camp, set up tents, had lunch then headed into Charleston. The weather was fantastic so it was shorts, vest tops and sun cream. We managed to meet up with the other group when we arrived in town but some people wanted to do other things and such so I think there was about 11 of us. We had a quick walk through Charleston market, which is massive! Before finding a bar called Moe's tavern for a quick pint. We walked along towards the sea front then found Bubba Gump Shrimp! So we nipped in there for a cheeky cocktail before walking towards Rainbow Row, which I think just looks like Balamory but I was alone with that one. Myself and the girls found a Forever 21 so we nipped in for little things like earrings, belts and hairbands. So many nice summer things to buy but my suitcase is already full, sad times :( we got picked up around 6 then returned to camp for an English fry up for tea, made by Sibella, Jake and Yvonne with added assistance from Jin. We taught Jin how to make scrambled eggs and he says he'll make them back home in Korea. Which I highly doubt, cuz their food is nicer than scrambled eggs, haha!!
We were camping in the same area as the other group, so we were given sign up sheets for the activities coming up so we could all choose together whether we'd go to Disney or Universal Studios and things. Decided to sign up for a tour around the Navajo, a sunset cruise in Florida, Disney, limo cruise around Las Vegas and potentially a helicopter ride around the Grand Canyon. Unsure about the helicopter ride cuz it's soo expensive but apparently the views are fantastic. Ali, our tour leader mentioned about how previous tours have stayed in the Hooters hotel in Vegas. So we've since started Hooters chants in hope we can stay there, she said if its the same price then most likely, so fingers crossed! The other group has issues with money so we're unsure whether they'll be with us or not.
We spent the rest of the night chatting about what we'd picked with a few beers before we hit the road again in the morning.
