We stayed at Funky Fish resort in Fiji, on Malolo island in the Mamanucas. The first thing we noticed when we arrived was how nice the people were, after being in america for so long we thought they wanted a tip or something but no, they were just nice friendly people. The second thing we noticed was how it looked amazing, better than a photo can ever show.
The weather was beautiful, the sea was like a crystal clear bath and the food was amazing. We did some snorkelling and saw some Nemos, went island hopping, (we saw the island where they filmed Castaway with Tom Hanks and went to the place they film celebrity love island.) The whole time we met some amazing people both fijians and travelers who we will stay in contact with, and we basically just relaxed so much that we now live in 'Fiji time' meaning we are becoming lazy and are too relaxed to be on time.
We had a few crazy nights in the bar drinking REALLY strong cocktails and playing Pictionary. One night we staged our own Kava ceremony (the Fijian herb that you mix with water and drink), Kava tastes like mud. But it chills you out and numbs your mouth.
We loved our resort which was really small and personal, it was owned by an ex All Black called Brad which was cool and he employed Joe (a fijian guy) to run the show.
Anyway we are going to stop talking about Fiji because we have just arrived in Auckland and want to go back to our beautiful island and living in Fiji time!!!!
