James & Danielle's travels
5-7th January 07 Malaka
Malaka is a famous old sea port quite similar to Hoi An in Vietnam. My Grandad on my Mum's side has probably visited there in his sea ferring days, I believe most of them did. It consists of neat little cobbled streets with churches, museums, canals, small bisto bars and restaurants, and has a varied mixture of nationalities who have settled there throughout the years.
Our two days in Malaka consisted of relaxing, eating, drinking and soaking up the relaxed multi-cultural atmosphere, a lovely little place but two days was more than enough to see it.
Next stop Singapore
