Day 38- Fri 15th
It was our last day in New Zealand but we didn't really do much except have some lunch and get ready togo to the airport. It was tipping with rain today so it was nice to leave such horrible weather behind. We got to the airport and found that our flight was delayed a little bit and our visas had not been put through by STA. Just another drama for us to deal with, luckily we could do it on the internet at the airport. A few people from the tour were waiting for their flights so we just waited with them. Our Jet Star flight was a bit basic but just reminded me of Easy Jet. I had a window seat with no window! We landed in Melbourne early evening and sorted a shuttle bus to our hostel in St Kilda's. This was slightly outside of Melbourne but near the beach. We checked in and were shown our ten bed dorm, it was ok but not very clean and there wasn't space to do anything. We didn't really unpack but headed straight out. We found our way to Fitzroy St which had loads of pubs, cafés and restaurants but we really fancied a curry. With our luck there was not a single curry house for miles but we eventually found 'Tandoori Times' and pretty much dived on them and ordered a feast. After dinner we just headed back to the hostel, it was the worst night's sleep we have had as the bar downstairs was blaring music till 3am and the street outside was so noisy.
