Hello Guys!!! Another installment is due. We're in Byron Bay at the mo. But firstly have to tell you of our fun in Port Macquarie.
Port Macquarie is about halfway between Brisbane and Sydney. Its a town on the beach basically. We stayed in a lodge called Ozzie Pozzie which was amazing. Our room opened up onto a courtyard full of benches and hammocks. When we were there, there was only about ten people. We got to know everyone and by the end of the trip we were all making tea for each other and going out together.
We also met a girl called Liz from Devon who was 24 and been travelling for 6 years in different places. Lucky girl!!
Again we spent our time lying on the beach and scaring the locals whith our pearly white skin!! We were lucky enough to go whale watching which was incredible. There were dolphins chasing the boat aswell and the birds that nose dive from about 30feet in the air into the water like torpedos!! Pretty cool.
That evening we went on a sunset cruise up the beach and saw huge houses with private jetties and huge cruise boats!! Alrite for some!! And the sunset was beautiful too. When we came in to the harbour, there were millions of bats flying over head.
Anyway at the mo we are staying in somewhere called the arts factory. Let's say its interesting. It's full of hippies and we are staying in a gipsie caravan on stilts in the middle of a pond-yeah odd!! You also have the option to stay in a concrete teepee?!?!
We walked to the lighthouse and could see more whales, pretty amazing.
