I went to breakfast and then I went back to bed. It was amazing. I spent the day alone-roaming the streets of Brussels and buying things. I traded my coat for a much warmer one and then was swindled into buying poorly made men's shirts. I went to the Yves St Laurant exhibit and wished I owned everything in the place. On my way back to the hotel I ran into Heather and she and I went out for Indian. We talked about our real lives in Omaha and it was good to be completely real with a new friend and still almost stranger. It felt freeing. We were back in our rooms by 10:30pm. I packed and watched terrible TV while replaying the past few days. I am so grateful for this experience, although I will be learning French for my next excursion to France-most definitely. I will probably insure I bring a close friend or partner as well.
