Dan and Lu's Travels
Drove for about two hours to get to Niagara this morning. The place wasn't quite what I expected, thought it would be a quiet little place with a big waterfall. Its actually got loads of hotels and casinos and kids rides and stuff! Its very tacky and slightly crazy, but once you get past that and see the main attraction it doesn't matter. We went on the maid of the Mist, which is the boat that takes you past the American side (small and rubbish!) and into the horseshoe of the Canadian side, so you get absolutely soaked (and wish you hadn't put mascara on this morning!)!! After we got off the boat we all walked through the gardens and down to the where the water flows over the edge of the Canadian side; the weather had brightened up now too and it looked really impressive. Thanks has to go to Jim and Val for taking us as they must have been there a hundred times - all visitors want to see Niagara Falls!!!!
