Dan and Lu's Travels
We left Newcastle to drive up the Pacific Highway to Seal Rocks this morning. A couple of hundred km later we came off the highway at a tiny town called Buladelah, which just had a bottle shop (of course), an Iga supermarket, library and some houses. Real 'Neighbours' style houses too! Got some petrol and checked the oil, after not being able to find the dipstick and having to ask for help. (The guy in the shop announced, "This gentleman can't find his dipstick", which was pretty mortifying for Dan....) How stupid are we?!
30 km east of here we turned down a dirt track for 11km to get to Seal Rocks. Two lovely beaches with Sugarloaf Point lighthouse at the far end. It was quite busy, loads of people in the water. We parked and Easter lunch (sandwiches) on the beach.
Found a rest area for the night (no public toilets though - argh!) and cooked noodles and egg in the dark.
