So a long time coming...........................
What have we done?
Melbourne twice, Adalaide back to Sydney and up to the Gold coast, not forgetting a ten day trip back home.
Amy has joined in with the trip.
England won the ashes a personal favourite of Amys, she is now loving the cricket and cant wait for the world cup to start. Watched the test in Adalaide in some blistering heat, drinking beer in the sun on a hill, getting told off by the police! Who me? Your pointing at 300 people mate! And the final test at Sydney to watch them lift the Ashes.
England rugby league had a disappointing four nations, we watched them in Melbourne against Oz, enough said!
Great ocean road, a favourite few days amoungst us all, we bought each other a helicopter ride over the 12 apostles for xmas, truely magnificent.
Dan cooked a wonderful xmas dinner and we experienced xmas at the beach, one which i think we all enjoyed alot, but you cant beat the snow. And the saying of the day that day was, "that was nice but it wasnt like how my mum cooks it".
And how can i forget New year over looking Sydney Harbour? What can i say? a dream come true.
But what has to stand out for me over the past few months, after making some amazing friends, seeing some truely awe inspiring sights and meeting family you never knew you had was a day we spent at the beach on the Gold Coast ......................
We had opted for the beach this day, instead of our pool. As with the beach you cant go without taking the boards, on this particular day the waves were quite big, so Dave decides to go outback out the way of the breakers, which in itself is funny just watchin Dave getting hit by wave after wave.
After half hour David Craig emerges from the water looking a bit worse for wear, and starts to explain how he was engulfed in a mass swarm of jelly fish and he'd been stung on his arm and chest, seeing the sight of Daves arm a look of panic came across our faces!
There is only one way to save Daves arm from certain amputation. Thats right you have to wee on it!
We rush back to the flat but stage fright hits Dan as he tries to save his friend, only one thing for it Dave will have to do it himself. Ever tried pissing on your arm? Pretty hard according to Dave. We leave him to it.
Next thing we know a big thud from the bathroom and a scream from Dave, "oh no"
With a hint of laughter and concern we shout and ask him if everything is ok and Dave starts to explain how he'd fallen over in the bath whilst trying to piss on his arm, and managed to piss all over himself. In Daves words " it was like a fire hose out of control, it went all over the place"
Needless to say Dave and his arm are still doing good thanks to a little bit of urine!!!!!!!
