Well we did a tour of the north west where we met the best group of people, love to you all - we really enjoyed having heaps of fun with you guys!
First day of our tour consisted of viewing the famous Pinnacles which are natural limestone peaks which have formed over years of sea erosion and wind they were amazing to see. Today was also the Melbourne cup - which is basically Australia's version of the Grand National - me and shell lost as per usual!!
After the Pinnacles we went on to Kalbarri Beach which was absolutely stunning, we carried on and checked into our hostel for the night and shared with Enya, Tom, Rooney and Jack who were all good fun. Had dinner at the hostel - chicken stir fry - lovely, plenty of drinks with everyone - well mainly Maggie and Angie, who were absolutely hilarious.
Early in the morning we were off to Z-Bend gorge and Natures window, we trekked all the way from the top of the gorge to the bottom, it was really beautiful. We headed up to Denham further north and went on to Shell Beach - which is as the name suggests made up of shells, beautiful but kills your feet to walk on it! Checked into an awesome hostel for the night with a sea view room - lovely!! Barbecue on the night and yet more flowing drinks - spent most of the night playing "Scabby Queen"!! Ha ha.
The following day we went to monkey mia to see the dolphins which swim right up to the shore and have a feed, Jack got to feed them the lucky git!! Had a lovely breakfast here and then made our way up to the Stromatalites harbour/beach. We left half of our tour group here as they made their way up to Exmouth and Coral beach - sad day we left Enya, Tom, Rooney, Vicki, Jack and the best tour guide Richie "the Bear".
Drove to Northampton to stay on the farm for the night, where we ate Kangaroo stew, Shell had chicken! Kangaroo tastes like really tender beef its really quite nice. Spent our last night with the crew here and had a few beers with everyone which was nice.
In the morning we went to the weirdest place in the world - an area of 49km sq. which was a seperate country called the Hutt River Province and met the King!! The guy is mental absolutely off his rocker, he even has his own currency for Christs sake with his face on; funny though!
We continued on our journey back toward Perth and stopped on a wildlife park where we got to feed all of the local Oz animals and even handled snakes!! I managed to combat my fear of snakes and hold a few of them - check the pics out!
Got back into Perth around 6pm where LUke forgot to pick us up!! Never mind got back safe and sound and said farewell to all our friends, hope to catch up with you all someday had a blast - take care Fiona, Vicki, Ed, Maggie, Angie, Frisbee, Tom, Enya, Rooney, Jack, the wee lady with the plastic shoes, the cracking Japanese couple and girls, Kirsty and not forgetting the big fellah Rich - sorry Toby but Richard was our king!!
Love to you all, Ta da xxx Danny and Michelle xxx
