Well our Western Australia adventure has come to an end, it is our final day here today as we prepare to move onward to the Northern Territory to see Uluru (Ayers Rock to us and you!) and Alice Springs deep in the Australian Outback.
We had a great stay with John, Jules, Luke, Kelly, Owen and Stefan. Had a few heavy nights out with Luke and even dragged him with us to see Wave rock and Kalgoorlie. Kelly was 21 whilst we were here and we had a few beers to celebrate with her last night, the venue was a brewery and they only served you the beers and wines that were brewed on the premises it was a really cool place.
We have seen loads of different things around Sorrento and the surrounding area, we've been to the Aqua sea life centre which is basically an underwater tunnel through an aquarium filled with all different types of fish and sea life. After this we went out to the casino - unfortunately they wouldnt let us take any pics here so we couldnt get any snaps of Shell gambling on the roullette and winning wait for it...... a massive five dollars!
We also ventured further afield and went to a wildlife park called Whiteman Park, we got to feed and stroke kangaroos and koalas and see all of Australia's amazing creatures. We have had plenty of family barbecues out in the garden when the weather here has been amazing - we even helped the guys move house! I don't know hey even on our holidays were working away!
Spent some lazy days on the beach and Dan even tried his hand at surfing - not too good though, apparently his board was too small, there was no wax on the board and he kept falling off - he even got stung about 5 times by passing bluebottles (little jellyfish) it was amusing to watch!
Well we have really enjoyed ourselves here and just want to say a big thanks to John, Jules and the rest of the guys for their hospitality, especially Stef for giving up his room!
Were off to Alice springs tomorrow so hopefully update the site in under a weeks time - love to you all x x x Dan and Michelle x x x
