Finally made it!!! Kim made a good choice with hotel so a quick relax, clean and out for dinner. This will be brief.
Flight from doha was uneventful. Apart from Kimbo throwing her bread roll at a fellow passenger. He must not have minded as he gave her his card so she can keep in touch with his charity work from the East Africa Methodist ministries centre. Google it. Spread the word.
So, landed and straight out with pics from hills. Hopefully they will get better, along with the weather. Like summer in Glasgow, the rain is warmer. Which is nice as we were stuck on the Tarmac for about 5mins in Doha which brought the obligatory question "ahm a burnin!?!" No rock in the shade for me to sit on mind, and what felt like 30deg at 9am, I needed one.
Initial reactions to Kathmandu are 'oh dear, we're back in it!' Yep, bedlam on the roads, horns aplenty and people. Lots and lots of people. Honestly feels like the last 2.5yrs didn't happen and we are still travelling. Good news is we should get into the swing pretty sharp tho.
Off to explore and feed. Oh good news, plumbing seems to work again ;).
