Ok so we've come to an end of our time in Zadar and we seriously Limericked the s*** out of it whilest habitating there. One fine night while strolling romantically down the lavish docks admiring the cute little boats (quote Dan : cute doesn't get you to America Ali), we happen upon a shopping trolley. "Check it for a euro" I excalim as Dan plays, spurring with the trolley as though he were back in L&N carpark in Newastlewest. Then of course...drama ensued...I looked back just in time to see the trolley roll casually towards the waterfront, too far ahead to avoid the enividable. We watched in terror (and secret delight) as the trolley became one with the water, taking down one of the docks smaller boats as it became tangled and then sunk by the mooring ropes. Awful stuff. Needless to say we scattered/shook tackie. It's moments like these that the shneer..has become your God.
Met some really nice people in Zadar from all over the world, Jason from South Africa and some other guy, ex military who's fought in countless wars, from France. Sersiously like, spent a few nights drinking with this guy and still don't know his name.
We rode on a boat motherf***er...this aint seaword it's as real as it gets! Ya the boat was a good laugh. It left at the crack of dawn and they served us shots of slivovitch at 8am....ya b****! This is where, however, the incident with the sea urchin took place. I was having a good time touring round the islands until then, jumping off Dan's shoulders, doing backflips into the clearest sea I've ever seen until I stomped upon one of those b******s. Not one to cause a fuss...we soldier on.
So ya, Zadar's been great to us, we've blagged free drinks in their best clubs, The Garden and Club Maraschino and met some really cool people. Stayed in a really nice/apartment/cheap with a cool host ...here's the link if anyone's interested:
Next stop Split, don't know if we'll last too long there cuz everyone tells us (really excitedly) that it's just like Ibiza..ahem.
P.s....This blog thing doesn't have spell check, I couldn't be arsed googling the words I'm a little dubious or unsure of. Deal with it.
