We got the Oz Experience early in the morning about 6.30 and travelled down to Leongatha for a breakfast stop about 9.30. The bus is really cool, quite vintage looking and all the guys seem lovely. The driver is a right bushwalker called "Squater" who gives commentary while he drives about anything Australian which was interesting. He told us that Koalas are nearly at the point of extinction because they all have the clap...i wonder how they contracted that!haa...
We travelled down to Wilson's Promontory and climbed the mountain to the top to see all the views. Unfortunately it was raining so hard we didn't really stay that long and took a walk down the beach called Squeaky Beach. Then it was back on the bus for lunch and a 3hour drive to Lakes Entrance were we are spending the night. We had lunch at d'j dinner and spent the rest of the night in the common room talking to the people we met on the bus. They headed out early in the morning for the rest of the trip up to Sydney stopping at Thredbo while Helen and I are spending 3 nights in Lake Entrance seeing what the town has to offer and hopefully doing something on the beautiful river that they have here. We have booked a wine cruise on Sunday along the lake which shall be good.
