We set out for Memphis at 9.00am and immediately had a hell of a shock as a head on collision occurred about 40 metres in front of us - in our lane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There was only a few cuts and bruises to the occupants and so we left quickly before we were called upon to witness anything. There was a large Honda dealership in Cool Springs that Greg and I wanted to see and we spent an hour there ogling the beaut bikes before heading for Lynchberg and the Jack Daniels Distillery. We took some back roads and saw some lovely country and some great roads which would be fantastic to ride the 'Wing on. As we approached Lynchberg we saw more and more bikes and were chuffed to see that there was a big motorcycle rally being held in the town. We parked up and wandered the streets amongst a couple of thousand bikers. It was a fantastic sight to see all these bikes lined up along the highway. We bought a few souvenirs and then walked over to the Distillery and booked in for a free tour. The tour was great and the bloke guiding us must have been on the bourbon for a few years we reckoned!!! He was absolutely hillarious. His southern accent had us chuckling all through and we saw the whole distilling process. From there we drove on west through some lovely farmlands and forests - very picturesque - finishing up for a stopover in the town of Florence which is actually in Alabama.
