Hey it's Alicia!
Today I really think everyone had a great time visiting the Tower of London. The day was packed with beautiful crown jewels, shiny sets of armour and fascinating stories and myths!
It was another early start to the day and everyone was still very jet lagged. After a tasty continental breakfast in the YHA's dining room we caught the bus to the Tower of London and the second we reached it we were off and exploring ... The tower was a lot bigger than I expected.
First we hurried into the room holding the crown jewels at the entrance were a set of huge doors towering over us weighing more than 2 tones each! Inside many gold, silver and precious jewel treasures lined the shelves with elegance and one of my favourites was the 350 carat diamond (it was huge)! Next we had a look at the Bloody Tower known for it's great mysteries; the loss/murder of two twin princes. We also did the wall walk, Beauchamp Tower (clothing; armour etc.) and many other interesting sites within the tower.
Later that evening we had a lovely dinner in the hostel kitchen and a very good nights rest...
