Well done, Dave, great trip, what an effort with panniers - I struggle carrying a spare inner.

The dreaded apostrophe s has struck on the auto spellchecker on my illiterate IPod. It should have been ...and its traffic.

We have just checked our maps. Thanks very much for preventing us making what would have been a very embarrassing mistake. We have now turned towards the East and have arrived in Thurso.
Most people take the route we have to avoid the main road North of Helmsdale with all it's ups and downs and it's traffic. Drew.

Well done Drew and David - although I thought John O' Groats was on the North East tip.

Hi Elizabeth - we are at Alness tonight so very much skirting Cromarty. Extraordinary that both the Holmes and Lambie families have connections to the North of Scotland.
Alison, myself and our two girls had a cyclong holiday in Finland and spent several days in Helsinki. Really pleasant city with lots to see.
Best wishes
Elizabeth
Hello! Well done...
Are you able to visit Cromarty, one-time home of ancestors, John Pow and Elizabeth Hosack (1770- 1858) and daughter Christian Pow (1814 - ), grandmother of Grandad Holmes. I must get this family tree organised.
Sorry that I will miss you at Kay's Gathering, but I will be at a Library conference in Helsinki (on your cycle map!! but not on your route!) I hope to meet up in Scotland later in August.
Keep cycling!
David
