Al's adventures
hi everyone went to the falls today. 19th april. happy birthday mum! went down to the bus station caught the local bus to the falls. it drops you right outside. nice and easy. the place is absolutely huge. the i booked was called jungle explorer. at first it took us througth the jungle. the guy was telling you about this tree that tree, great!! also what animals were there. guess what did'nt see any animals!! we then got off the 4wd truck to get on a boat. this was the best bit!! the boat took us down river towards the falls. you stop at the lower section which is where the smaller falls are. of course they take you into it! madness!! you can't see a thing! you get soaking but it does'nt matter you dry off quick. as i got off the boat it decided to piss it down. did'nt matter i was already wet. but the sun came back out after an hour so that was ok. i then walked to the main attraction. the devils throat!!see the picture. it was excellent. the picture does'nt give it justice. it is so loud aswell. went mad with the camera!! i will be putting photos on soon when i got back to the hostel there was a power cut candles everywhere. i had to find my passport in the dark, nightmare!! went to get a ticket for salta and get batteries for my torch. could'nt pack in the dark a. packed up and left for salta. 26hrs!! arrived about 1 in the morning just needed to check in some where and get some proper sleep.next day another bus journey to positos border with bolivia got there crossed over to yacuiba, bolivia. after many hand signals got a taxi to the bus station. it was closed until the morning,s***!! had to stay in this dodgy looking hotel! i slept in my clothes and put my jacket over the pillow. the toilet and bathroom was outside!! next day i just had a wash and left for santa cruz, bolivia's second capital. the bus broke down 4 times!! in the end everyone was gettung off and getting taxis. me not speaking any spanish thinking s***!! luckly this spanish guy helped me out we got a taxi to the bus station,he sorted my ticket to go to la paz and pointed me in the right direction. the guy saved my life!! so off to la paz
