After 2 fun months in the UK I have now made it to the US of A. First stop is Boston.
The hostel is interesting.
Day 1 - drunk guy arrives at just after midnight looking for Rita. He has no luck so decides to throw a metal bin through a window.
Day 2 - I realise the bed seems to have many bed bugs. I also see and hear a mouse trying to climb the leg of my bed. I also remember I have already booked and paid for 6 nights here.
Day 3 - Several of my room mates seem to believe they are auditioning for a new show, Snore Factor. There are some worthy contestants and I get very little sleep.
Ritas mate, John*, returns at about 3am trying to get in. The manager of the place stops him and they get into an actual street fight. Car alarms kick off. 8 police cars arrive to arrest John
Day 4 - In the morning I notice John's car is towed as her parked in the wrong car park (or parking lot as they say here). He's now $300 lighter plus spent half a day in the slammer.
That night there is a black out at the hostel. John was not to blame rather a neary by fire knocked out the grid in the entire neighbourhood..
* Names have been changed for this story, other than Rita's as it seems like a good name for this story.
Outside the hostel fun I managed a few walks incl the Freedom Trail, plus a visit into my works office which is outside the city. Had another good time catching wiht some old and new work faces.
Also had a quick trip down to Cape Cod - thanks Troy. A nice spot and had top weather for it.
