Finally arrived into Quito at about 1.30am after our last flight from Quayaquil was delayed by about 2 hours!!. Oh well at least LAN gave us a snack and drink while waiting. It was great being met by someone from our tour company at the airport at that time and because we were so tired. It was about a 36 hour trip!!. Had a long sleepin and then went out exploring, but only a little. Went and climbed the amazing Basilica del Voto Nacional built in 1874 with brilliant view of all the surrounding mountains and building of Quito. Had a nice dinner out in one of the many restaurants in the main square. Tonight we rest for tomorro first full day tour. Weather here in Quito today was mostly sunny and tshirt weather, bit cooler at night but really nice. Another entry in a few days time.
