Hi all! Today my room-mate,and two of our other friends from school went out to see the Westminster Abby which is located in the southern part of London. It was amazing! We got on the underground at Baker St. and took it to Westminster. It was fairly easy. When we got out of the tube station we looked up and Big Ben was right there. I finally realized that I was in London. We got some lunch at this little pub across the street from Big Ben, it was a cool old pub.I tried the fish and chips and mom I still hate fish! It was so old the toilets had the pull string from the ceiling and the tank mounted on the wall. We went to the Abby, it was crazy, it took them between 800 and 1000 years to build! How did they do it we all kept wondering. I guess one stone at a time. After we were done at the Abby we headed over to the London Eye which is just across the River Thames, we wanted to ride it but the line was so long. We figured that we would just come back at night one night, it should be better with all the city lights on. We walked down along the river and saw a ton of street performers, it reminded me of Venice or Santa Monica in California. The weather hasn't been that bad so far, today it was a little overcast but jeans and a jacket were fine. Oh yeah and on the way out of the college for a day of exploring we had to stop at the cottage where two of our teachers are staying and they told us that the cottage was used durring World War 2 for spys. That was where they secretly met. I thought that was pretty cool.
