Day 10:
We woke up a little late but still had 15mins to spare to eat breakfast and wait for the bus to come and collect us. We were in the back of the bus with Sarah and Alex and got to know to each other a little more. The first destination of the day was Chaing Mai Hot Spring - we were excited about this but were sorely disappointed when we arrived. It was just one shooting spurge of water in the ground, surrounded by shops/cafes. I guess we were expecting like a pool where we can swim in, it'll be bubbling and warm.....We only stayed there for like 20mins before driving to the 2nd destination - Wat Rong Khun.
Out of 33,000 temples in Thailand, this is the only one that isn't painted and is white all over. It was quite breathtaking when we arrived, so pretty! It even had mirror mosaic that made it glisten in the sunlight. Our pictures do not do it justice though! Outside the temple there were trees that had gargoyle-like faces hanging from the branches. They were there to ward off the bad spirits, no wonder why cuz they were proper ugly!
Before entering the temple, Alysha, Gemma and Mischa were given a white sarong to "cover" up as our legs were too exposed. We weren't allowed to take photos inside the temple because this temple belonged to the artist and is not normally owned by the government. He didn't want the others to copy his ideas but as we entered inside, the work wasn't completed anyway.
There was also an old monk sitting perfectly still that we started to suspect whether he was a wax work or an actual person (we later found out it was a real monk! He didn't even blink or breathe....weird!) We walked round for a bit, went inside his art gallery and looked round the shops. Then we got back into the bus to take us to Thailand border of the Golden Triangle.
The Golden Triangle is where all 3 borders meet - Burma, Thailand and Laos. And its where the countries do a lot of trading (some info for u guys ;-p)
We were taken onto a boat that took us to the Burmese borderline and apparently on this specific land, there is no rules or laws whatsoever because it's no mans land. So anyone can do drugs there, kill anyone, build casinos and not get arrested!
Then we went to the Laos side but we didn't get off the boat as there was entry fee. We didn't see the point in getting off when we'll be going to Laos tomorrow so we were left on the boat for half hour. Then we sailed back to Thailand borderline where a bus took us to a restaurant for lunch which were buffet style. At the restaurant, when we were queuing up for the toilet, some random Chinese woman went to Coco and pushed her boobs up and down for no apparent reason!
We drove to the Thai boarder between Burma and Thailand. Coco and Alysha got off the bus with the rest of the group while the other two stayed on the bus. We walked through the market and saw Burma- we were told that they had half an hour time difference.
Coco being Coco pretended to mug Sarah in the streets, which made her scream a bit and Alysha laughed so much! Walking back through the market Coco and Alysha sampled some Thai wine (red, white and rose) it had a different taste and was rather strong!
We drove to the long neck village, just before getting off the bus it was Mischa's turn to fall ill! It was like a proper 'The Exortist 'projectile vomit!
We crossed over a bamboo bridge before entering the village. We were told that the villagers were originally from Burma but had relocated to Thailand because there was more freedom here. They wore stacks of gold necklaces to elongate their necks to protect them from the tigers that used to come down. They also believed that the longer the woman's neck was the more prettier she was. It felt a bit like we were treating them as if they were zoo animals, because we were gawping and taking pictures. But they didn't mind and it was their way of earning money.
We returned to the bus after looking around, Mischa by now was seriously ill and had to stop the bus twice to let her off and be sick! We were sitting at the back of the bus, so Alysha asked a Chinese lady near the front to swap with Mischa so she could be near the door. The Chinese lady pretended not to understand Alysha until Sarah assisted then she reluctantly moved in the back with the other 3.
We got to the petrol station and our tour guide told Coco to tell Mischa to move to the back again because the Chinese lady was complaining that us 3 were making too much noise! Coco informed her that we were not (seriously though, we hadn't been loud, just chatting away like normal happy people do!) and that the other lady was just being miserable! Mischa had to swap anyway and then she was almost sick on the bus in the back, throwing up into a plastic bag next to Alysha who was now climbing into Coco's lap for safety!
We finally got back to our area, Mischa went to the guesthouse to sleep it off, Alysha, Gemma and Coco went to get dinner. But our street had turned into a market, brimming with so many stuff to buy! Every Saturday, people set up the stalls in the evening and it was bustling with people and looked so different than it normally does! We all got something from the market: Gemma got a haram trousers, Alysha haggled for a skirt and won, then helped Coco to haggle for her 'Sex Pistol' bag. (the man tried to up his price when he realised that Coco wanted it! Rude!!) then we had a late dinner, walked back to the guesthouse and went to bed reasonably early.
Day 11
We woke up at 7.30am, packed our bags and checked out before breakfast. Mischa was feeling better and was joining Coco and Alysha in silly antics but..... Gemma was sick again.
We waited forever and forever for our bus to come! (we are still getting used to the fact that Thailand is laid back and things don't always run on time!) eventually the bus came at 10.30am, we said our goodbyes to Sarah and Alex and boarded the bus. We received our itinerary and found out that we were pretty much taking the same route as we had done yesterday before settling in Chaing Kong! Bloody great(!)
So we went on a looooong ride again to see the hot spring and white temple. (yawn....) then we stopped at a random place to have lunch, but the food didn't look very appealing so we had an ice cream instead and boarded the bus again for more tiresome driving (our bums feel flat now!) we finally arrived at the border between Laos and Thailand in Chaing Kong to a guesthouse that didn't look very welcoming! But we all said to ourselves that this was part of the experience, and a bed was just somewhere to sleep in! It's what we make of the surroundings that counts!
So we had a little explore around, walking by the river bank then we saw a wooden trellis arch with flowers that looked a bit 'weddingy' so Coco and Gemma pretended to get hitched there with Mischa being the registrar and Alysha as the official wedding photographer! We all got back to the guesthouse for dinner which was Thai green curry. (finally it was spicy so Coco and Alysha were rather pleased!! )
It was now drinkies time!!! We had seen a bar we liked the look off earlier, it was a reggae bar called 'Beam bar' it was painted in the traditional Caribbean colours and we were allowed to write on their walls!
We befriended the bar staff, Alex and Gill! We had many cocktails and disgusting shots of tequila which made all the girls bar Alysha threw up!
We tried to teach the men 'Jungle Speed' but they didn't quite get the game and looked bored! (by then, Coco helped to put Gemma to bed cuz she was already drunk -Lightweight!!!)
Alysha and Mischa had another cocktail and taught the men the card game 'Pig' which they grasped quite quickly!! Coco came back and joined in the fun then Alex and Gill tried to teach us their card games but it was utterly confusing! So they reverted back to Pig! We played the stick game that we learnt from the mountain, but Coco told them that if they couldn't work it out they would have to give us each a shot on the house. It worked! But we were given tequila again! Grr, but ... waste not want not! ;-)
Then Mischa taught them the hand slapping game. Bless, Gill was a gentle soul and wouldn't slap us hard. Then Alysha played with Alex after Mischa taught him but he got too excited and kept slapping Alysha hard, just for the sake of it! We were now very merry and were in fits of giggles! Coco then said they had to do a forfeit which was to put their knuckles on the table, Coco would push a coin hard with her thumbs against their knuckles. Remember, Gill is a very gentle person, so we were laughing so hard when he really jumped and looked shocked!
We fancied a change of scenery, so after swapping Facebook names and having photos taken with them we went to Cafe V which is right outside of our guesthouse. We soon befriended with the bar owner called Tommy.
Tommy was born in London with parents from Japan and Thailand. He let us look at his music on his laptop, although he had good taste but was slightly dated so we took it upon ourselves to give him a list of artists that he ought to download. Then Coco got her iPad and we plugged it into his speakers, whacked the music up and had our own little party.
The other people from the bus passed by, saw we were having so much fun and joined in (the bar is small so it was looked crowded by now!) We were all dancing, playing darts, posing for photos and everyone was in high spirits!
Coco ordered a bucket cocktail of Hong Thong rum and coke to share with Alysha and Mischa. Mischa had overdone it, ran and threw up in the toilet and announced she was going back to her room. Coco and Alysha tried to make her stay but away she went! Regardless Coco and Alysha carried on drinking and talking to the others. Tommy asked them to help clear out the bar because it was closing time, so we simply plugged out the iPad and shouted "Party's over" everyone left after that... simples *squeaks*
Day 12
We all woke up pretty groggy after last nights shenanigans! We had breakfast with the others from our group and then got a tuk-tuk to to the visa immigration place where we got our ticket for the boat. We boarded a boat, but it was tiny and we really thought this was our slow boat for the next 2 days. It was just to ferry us across into Laos under 5mins, we were seriously confused!
A man told us to walk up the hill, as we needed further check on our visas then we would get another boat. So we walked to the passport check and it was so crowded, with no order of a line and everyone cramming to get their passport stamped. We joined in as best as we could then an official looking man told us to move but not really giving us a reason why. We didn't want to lose our place so we stayed put, but he kept going on until we relented and moved to the other side of the building. Turned out, the other bit was for people to buy visas (we already had ours sorted by the lovely man in Bangkok) so all we needed was the stamp! Awkward.....
Then we walked up a hill, saw the another man who helped from before and went to his 'office' where he informed us that we had to change our Baht money into Kip. So we gave him our money and passports - it was all so rushed, it wasn't until we're on the bus going to god knows where, Alysha turned around and said "s***! We've just given our passports and money to a stranger! What for?!" which set off Gemma "well I refuse to go on the boat until I get my passport back" Alysha responded " well Gems we won't be going anywhere not even home if we don't get it back" Getting a bit flustered it was down to Coco and Mischa to calm the girls down and reassured them it would be"fiiiiiine" The man met us shortly after with everything getting returned safely so panic over! Alysha still vows not to give her passport to anyone again!
We got on the slow boat at 11am with it being scheduled to leave at 11.30-12pm.....it ended up departing at 1pm!
The boat was long and wooden, our backpacks were being stowed underneath the boat and the chairs were minibus-style chairs that were just put onto the boat and not screwed down so we could kind of move it (which we did, giving ourselves more legroom.)
The boat ride passed a lot of pretty scenery, saw local fishermen and children bathing in the river. After a while everything seemed to look the same, and Gemma started to get travel sickness whereas we all just read books for most of the ride.
Just before we were about to depart, there was this man who was drunk and came on the boat rudely, and was talking loudly and being a pisshead. He sat down opposite a couple, next to a mother and young girl then passed out taking most of the room. So some other travellers tried to wake him up to tell him to move to the back where there were spare seats. Eventually he woke up, and was like "Why is everyone being nasty?" then we piped up saying "It's not fair on the mum and young girl being squashed" he then randomly asked Mischa where she was from, and Mischa didn't respond so he started being racist and said to Mischa "Oh you're a foreigner, England is number one, always remember that!!" which got Alysha riled up "Actually we are British, and it's people like you who give Britain a bad name!" he got aggressive and then everyone else chipped in telling him to shut up and just frigging move! It was then we met Charlotte and George from Oxford, really friendly couple and they helped us with the timings.
We got to our halfway point at 6.30pm and it was already dark so the torches came handy once again!
People were offering accommodation at the 'harbour' and in the midst of the bustling confusion we walked away from them, deciding to find accom ourselves. We found our own accommodation for about 4quid each! We are truly turning into proper travellers, watching the pennies and skip with joy when we manage to find an accom with proper toilet! (our thighs are SO tense now....!)
Gemma was still feeling queasy so she had a nap and for the rest of us, in a serious need of a drink - we just dumped our bags and went to 'Hive bar' which is the only bar in the village! They gave us a free shot when we arrived then we ordered cockails (red bull n vodka for Coco) we got rather 'merry' but manage to return to the hotel and wake up Gemma for an Indian dinner down the street (it was seriously delicious, the whole group really enjoyed it but.....Mischa threw up in the middle of the night......! She still thinks it was delicious though...)
Day 13
We had breakfast at a bakery shop. Coco and Gemma had bagels with jam, while Mischa and Alysha had croissants with a lovely big cup of tea!
We then boarded the boat again at 9, this ride took even longer arriving at Leung Prabang at 6.45pm!! We just read more books, took some photos, some of us managed to have a nap! When we arrived,we walked the 'high streets' looking for cheaper accommodation but it was either fully booked or a tad pricy. Alysha and Coco went down an alley, knowing it would probably be cheaper and they assumed that Mischa and Gemma had seen them go down the alley. They asked a lady who was using her house with kids as a guesthouse too if they could stay. It was cheap, the room seemed clean enough so we just had to wait for Gemma and Mischa to approve too who still had not followed us down. Coco went to look for them, who were also looking for us and thinking we had disappeared!/kidnapped! It was all dandy again once we got into the rooms and got dressed up :)
We went to a restaurant that had a mixture of British and Laos food. Alysha wanted a curry but couldn't see it on the menu, so we asked the waiter for a simple chicken curry. The others over-elaborated that Alysha liked lot of spicy food so when the curry came to the table it was full of chillies -too spicy for Alysha!
We went to another Hive bar after dinner and when we were about to have a shot, suddenly Mischa and Alysha's got jumped on from behind. They were thinking "woah, bit over friendly if it someone from the boat that we made friends with" turned around and was pleasantly surprised to find our friends Helen and Nick! We have been trying to meet up with them but our dates kept clashing! So we spent the evening with them, arranging to travel to Vang Vieng together and do some activities too!
Just as we were getting into the swing of drinkies and having a laugh, they informed us that here in Laos, they shuts their bars at 11.30pm because the village gets up early to give aims to the monks. (lovely gesture but not what we wanted, because tomorrow was our 1st lie in so we planned to get messy tonight!) it's the law that everything shuts before 12am so we drank our bucket cocktails in a rush, said goodbye to Helen and Nick and walked home for bed.
Day 14
We woke up at 10am, it was nice to know we didn't have to pack in a rush to get any kind of transport to somewhere!
We had delicious brunch in a restaurant, then met Helen and Nick. We all booked our bus ride to Vang Vieng. We all walked around for a bit as there was nothing else to do there! Alysha and Mischa had a monk talking to them when they visited a temple! By law, you are not allowed to talk or touch the monks, unless they first approach you. So they were flattered they finally spoken to a monk. He asked general questions like where we were from, then we asked how old he was and how long he had been a monk (in case you're wondering, he was 15 and been a monk for 5 years) Then we returned to the guesthouse to relax for a bit before meeting up again for dinner.
We went through the evening market to meet Helen and Nick (so far it's one of the best we've been to...)
We had dinner in a stall, where you pay for a plate and you put whatever you want on it. Gemma didn't like the look of flies around the food so she declined to eat. Coco had some BBQ chicken wings, while Alysha and Mischa shared a plate of noodles, egg fried rice, Laos sausage and barbecued chicken. It was so cheap and yummier than what we've had before in restaurants! Even fussy Mischa loved it and wanted more!! So we are going to try and eat more food from stalls when we can ;-)
We walked back through the market and everyone got into their haggling swagger: Coco got a new rucksack and vest, Gemma got a ring and bracelet, Mischa got a handbag, earrings, necklace and anklet while Alysha got a bracelet...(but in our head, we're holding a lot of things on reserve, in case it's cheaper in Vang Vieng!)
Day 15
We woke up at 6am, got a tuk-tuk to a bus to take us to Vang Vieng. It was a long and bumpy journey which resulted in Nick and Gemma feeling travel sick! We arrived at Vang Vieng and immediately we felt it could be a place we were going to fall in love with! Everybody here is young (our age style), looking funky and trendy with bright coloured clothes and the area are quite festively/Ibizan style!
We wanted to get stuck into it and we couldn't be bothered to walk around looking for a guesthouse, so we went to the nearest one. Luckily, it was really cheap, cheerful and in the middle of the town!
We got changed and headed out to eat before our 1st night in Vang Vieng! We went to an awful restaurant which served Gemma and Mischa cold food and the waitress seriously got the hump when we asked her to re-heat the food. They kept sending back the food still the same and all the staff there refused to do anything with us, even ignored us! In the end, Mischa refused to pay for her meal which she hadn't ate at all and then we went to a bar to forget our 1st rude encounter with Laos people, especially 1st day in Vang Vieng!
We also looked around the shops and then we met Helen and Nick to arrange a time to meet for 'tubing' in the next morning. Mischa had her first of many delicious pancakes! (They were seriously yummy, with peanut butter and nutella!! *major drool*) We had an early night to prepare for TUBING!!!
Day 16
We woke up and headed to a cafe for a big breakfast with Helen and Nick. Vang Vieng is also well known for Friends!! They were on loop and shown in most bars/cafes all over Vang Vieng - again, what more could you ask for!?!
We went to pay for the hire of our rubber rings then took a tuk-tuk to the top of the river to the starting point and had pictures taken on Helen's waterproof camera!
We stopped at the first bar, welcomed by a free shot and colourful "friendship" bracelets. We had a bucket of cocktail and then chilled by the river watching apprehensively at others getting started.
We went into the river and it was very cold (it didn't help that it wasn't that sunny either) then we literally just let the current take us down the river! Along the river, there is a lot of bars where they'll have people throwing you ropes to lure you in, have free shots, more bracelets, have a dance, some got swings, campfires, beer pong games etc!
In the 2nd bar it had loud and better music, we had another free shot and then we played beer pong game (First time for all of us girls!) Helen, Alysha and Mischa in one team against Coco, Gemma and Nick! At first it seemed like the 2nd team was going to win but in the end Helen's team overtook them and had pleasure in mixing up the drinks for them to down in one go!
Nick took a trapeze that you swing on then let go into the river. Watching him doing it made Mischa want to do it, so she climbed up and did it! BUT halfway through, she was still holding on and she kept shouting "what do I do?!" The rest of us was telling her to DROP!!!!! Eventually she did but landed on her side....mega-ouch!!! So now we all wanted a go but was too scared because the drop was quite high! Alysha turned to Coco and said "I will if you will!" After a bit of faffing about, Alysha eventually climbed up to the platform and held the rope, (almost chickened out) but she DID it! Then Gemma had a go next because Coco was still a bit nervous but eventually she did it. We all agreed that it was nervous but a very exhilarating experience, and was proud of each other for doing it!
While we went from bar to bar, Gemma and Alysha lost their lovely sunglasses in the river *sob sob* but a great excuse to buy the cheap cool sunglasses everywhere in Vang Vieng!! We also went down a massive slide and swing onto a "bouncy castle"! We were getting very merry (we spent too long drinking) and then we had to hurry the last bit of the river, swimming frantically to return our rings to get our deposit back! After that it got a bit blurry and we ended up crashing out at our hostel at 7pm.....!
Day 17
We all woke up with a bad hangover, had big breakfast then walked around to find a spot to sunbathe. We went to the river bank, but it was too hot for Gemma and Coco so they went back to watch Friends. Mischa and Alysha tried to sunbathe longer but it was way too hot without a pool so they went back to join the girls.
Mischa and Coco wanted to hire a motorbike but Gemma and Alysha were too hungover. They were asking around about a swimming pool, so that they could relax whilst the girls went on the motorbikes. Mischa came back 5 mins later saying that she just crashed the bike into another car! She only had taken it for a test drive and then the brake wasn't working so she just crashed opposite into a parked car! She just left the bike there, so mortified and walked off! Coco ended up having to pay for the damage because the whole street had seen what happened and the owner wouldn't give back her washing ((the motorbike place is also the place where you get your laundry done) until she paid up! So Mischa paid Coco and vowed not to go on a bike again, manual that is! Then we went to a hotel and used their swimming pool to catch some badly-needed sun rays! It was a lovely hotel with stunning views that we ended up coming back there for our dinner.
After dinner we went to a bar for milkshakes and there was a girl that was off her head and started doing porno dancing for a group of boys who actually shouted that they'd rather watch the TV. It was so cringing and we were all embarrassed for the girl, but not too embarrassed because we ended up filming her!!! In Laos everything closes at 12am so we were back in our guesthouse early again.....
Day 18
Today we went tubing again but this time we shared a ring between two people and paced ourselves. The weather was better this time so the water wasn't that cold. Mischa and Coco went on the slides again but Gemma and Alysha were just happy to float along the river.
We finished earlier this time, got glammed up for a proper big night out. We had free buckets at some bars and some free t-shirts . We tried to get one for each of us, but we had to spend a ridiculous amount to get these cool t-shirts. So Coco and Alysha used their charms and ended up getting 3 (not bad) All night, we kept bumping into people that we shared boats and bus rides with, and from tubing!
Day 19
Feeling lazy again, we decided to go back to the swimming pool for the day, had lovely fruit shakes and topped up our tans.
Coco and Gemma had a date night, they went for an Indian which they enjoyed very much. Then they went to a bar for a few drinks then came back to the guesthouse and fell asleep holding hands (cute!) Gemma got woken up by Mischa and Alysha who had a meal and got tipsy blagging free bucket cocktails from the bars and came back in a very giggly mood! They kept giggling for 2 hours straight, non-stop!
Day 20
We had a bus taking us to Vientiane at 1.30pm so we chilled at our guesthouse till a tuk-tuk came to pick us up to go to the bus station. The bus took forever to come and we were all feeling a bit groggy from last night. We're still not used to Laos's laid back attitude to timing! "relax.....it'll come......" *fumes*
Eventually the bus came and thankfully the journey was quite short (4 hours). We arrived at the centre of Vientiane and we had to find accommodation again. Most places we tried were full and the more we walked the heavier our bags got! We finally found a dormitory style guesthouse and they were nearly full, so we were placed in the men's dormitory, sharing a bed between two of us! We dumped our bags, went out for dinner at a multicultural restaurant. Gemma and Coco had chinese, Alysha had Laos style food and Mischa opted for Indian. But her Indian didn't arrive at all, while the others finished their dinner! So she didn't pay for it and cancelled her order! But the rest of girls had enjoyed their noodles, spring rolls and laap though.
Mischa was tired so she went to bed early while Gemma, Coco and Alysha had a walk around to find things to do. They walked to the riverside where it was very peaceful and you could see all the lights so they stood by the steps and had a reflective moment.
Day 21
We went to a coffee place for breakfast and it was lovely!! Alysha who had been feeling deprived of chocolate decided to get an 'Iced velvet chocolate and cream' drink and it was DELICIOUS!!!
We hired a bicycle after breakfast and we all cycled around Vientiane. We rode by the riverside, looked at statues, passed many temples and looked into many shops. We went to a pizza place for lunch (The Pizza Company is whoo like Pizza Hut.....delicious!) We booked our bus ticket to Kong Lo cave (recommended in the Lonely Planet book) then we cycled back to have a look at the night market. Gemma got a dress with 'Coco' on it, Coco got a shirt and some pictures, Mischa got a cute crop top and Alysha got an overnight bag and some pictures too. After all that haggling we were starving so we went to a Turkish restaurant and the food was lush, the best so far! We had another little stroll before returning to the hostel early because we were in dorms it felt really weird, we had to be quiet and the room smelt of men!
Day 22
We were supposed to be leaving for Kong Lo, so we got up early and waited outside for ages. We were supposed to be picked up by 9am to get the bus that only goes once a day at 10am. We asked our hostel man to phone them up and we were told they were on their way. Eventually a tuk-tuk driver came, we showed him our tickets and he told us to get on. Then we went to another hotel, picked up more people and then he asked us to look at our ticket again. He informed us that were on the wrong tuk-tuk so he drove us back to the hostel. We were all moody because we knew by now we had missed our bus at 10am so we asked the man to phone again. The office where we had got the tickets from said the tuk-tuk had already been to our 'hostel' but we were not there! But it turned out that they got our hostel name wrong which is why we were waited for so long!
So Mischa and Coco went to the office to get a refund because now we had to stay in Vientaine for another night and it's not the best place to be! They got to the office and asked for a refund and extra money to pay for our hostel but they blamed Coco for getting the address wrong! After Mischa blowing her top off, they eventually agreed that they would get us another ticket for the next day but that's it! Rude! So whilst they went, Gemma and Alysha asked if we could stay another night but in the girls room, and we were told we would be because some girls had checked out! Yay!
With another day to kill, we sat around the hostel and met a man called Wayne who originally from Leicester. He had travelled for 17 years and never went back home and is now living in Laos. He told us that last month 2 people had died from tubing which made us thank our lucky stars!
We strolled around again, walked to the river bank and decided to walk all the way across the 'river'. Gemma was too hot so she went back to the room but Coco, Mischa and Alysha walked and walked and walked! We finally got to the river, saw the other side of Burma and then we walked back. As we walked back , Mischa got stuck in mud and was panicking that it was a quicksand! Silly woman.....
When we were returning to Gemma, we passed a cute Mexican bakery shop that had everything on the menu we wanted to eat! So we went and collected Gemma and then shared tasty nachos and a taco salad for lunch! Mischa is SO obsessed with chocolate and peanut, she had homemade peanut butter and chocolate ice cream twister thingy! (temporary replacement to the pancakes...) Then we did a bit of window shopping- drooling over bags, clothes and sunglasses wishing we could buy everything!
Later that evening we went out for an indian, and we bumped into the lovely Jody and Holly again who were flying out to Vietnam the next day ( we're hoping to catch them again up there). In the middle of the night, Mischa was sick again :(
