We've now reached Brisbane, about halfway through the Australian leg of our world tour, stopping off at Byron Bay and Surfers Paradise since Sydney.

Our 14-hour overnight bus journey from Sydney was ok, although we didn't get much sleep and won't be doing it again. Byron Bay had a very laid-back, surfer vibe to it and Surfers Paradise was a bit bigger and more lively. From Surfers we spent a day in SeaWorld...the only rainy day we've had since arriving in Australia (see picture of us in very fetching ponchos!) At SeaWorld we went snorkelling in the tank with loads of fish and sharks(!), which was very cool.

We've now got a couple of nights in Brisbane to chill out a bit and recharge our batteries (travelling is quite tiring!) We've upgraded a bit to a nice hotel but it'll be back to hostels when we leave here.
