Amsterdam Airport Restaurant
I'm sitting, waiting for my food in "In de Bontekoe" Restaurant. Thank you Uncle Paige for the Euros! The flight over was pretty good. THe lady next to me and I completed a crossword puzzle until dinner came and then I slept afterwards. Dinner consisted of chicken, dressing, gravy, a roll, salad, and a blonde chocolate chip brownie. I slept pretty hard and woke up about 5 hours later as they were handing out breakfast (a banana and pepper jack, cheese egg English Muffin). Flying over Amsterdam I saw windmills in the ocean and the land was very gree, it reminded me of Ireland with more lakes and water channels. My lunch at the restaurant was good, it was a flatbread sandwich with peppers, onions, and maybe tuna? It had a honey mustard type dipping sauce. This was topped off with a tall Heinecken. I had about five euros left so I went by the choclatier shop and bought some Haribo Original Gummi Bears. I'm sitting waiting for the clock to tick down to 3 hours before my flight so that I can actually check-in and get my boarding pass. I'm sitting next to what looks like a buddist monk boarding for China, and he couldn't get his camera battery and memory card out of the packaging, so I helped. He knew some English and said "Sank you very much". It's really nice to hear so many different langages, and people watch here. There was a little German girl who pionted out my Crocs to her grandmother in the restaurant. I was wishing I had remembered more German, however, Arabic is at hand, and as soon as I check in I will try and break out the books and study with some gummi-bears.
