ACIREALE, 8th August 2011

The day begins with my cousin Pina and I going into Acireale Centrale on a photographic expedition to capture this amazing town on my camera. In town we stop at a Bar and it was time to have a pitacchio / mandola granita with a briosche. Sugar hit out of control and unresistable. Returning back to catch up with Zia Graziella before lunch....hmmm Calamari accompanied with a salad and eggplant parmegiana.

Today temprture is humid and above 40 degrees celcius.

In the evening it was time to join my cousin Pina and Saro out for dinner with a number of her collegues to a restaurant called Reitana. It was time to try a Sicilian Pizza. My request was a Fattoressa whch was prociutto, mozarella, anchovies, tomatoes and peas and it was absolutelty hmmmmm...delicious.

To finish off the meal Pina and I had Cinnamon liquor in a champagne class, a very generous amount and delicious.
