Courtney's CCF Trip

Suzie and her puppies
One of my greatest responsibilities is taking care of Anatolian Shepherds. I say this because each dog or pup is a farmer’s livelihood. CCF breeds these dogs to donate them to local farmers who have had predator encroachment problems in the past (threatening their livestock, and thus, their livelihood). The guard dogs bond with the livestock and then protect them against any predator that approaches. The dogs are loyal, and will fight to protect the heard. Pictured above is the most recent litter, Suzie’s puppies. They are leaving the center in approximately two weeks (when they are about 8-weeks-old) to be placed with their farmers.
