Sorry for the lack of blogging, been having such an amazing time here. Madrid is incredible and the people i´ve met have been the coolest!!

So I arrived on the first day and met a couple of American girls, and we decided to go to the Prado Museum which was very overwhelming. Saw ´Las Meninas´ and ´The Garden of Earthly Delights´ (my personal favorite). Then went out with a couple of Aussie guys from our room. Lots of Sangria and dancing made for a very good night.

Spent the Next day wandering around Madrid. Saw The Palacio Real and Plaza del Oriente which were both amazing to look at. Also saw the opera house but it was closed. Massive bummer. Got some ´frambuesa´ flavoured sorbet- delish- and spent some time chilling in the palace gardens, listening to my audiobook. Wandered through Plaza Mayor and saw some SERIOUSLY disturbing street performers. Including an obese spiderman, creepy man with a cane, and a man dressed up as a baby in a pram. Bizarre beyond belief!! Then had a quiet night in, chatting.

Next day was The Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum (A family with a humungous art collection) and then the Reina Sophia Museum which had a lot of modern art on display- much to the enjoyment of my imagination. We decided to create our own interpretation for each piece. So much fun when what´s infront of you is a blue dot or a giant metronome (WHAT?!?). Came back to the hostel and had a crazy night in (popped out briefly at about 2.30 for some churros- as you do). Also saw some skiiiiiiiilled roller skaters earlier in the evening. Got a video of it, so i´ll show you all when I get back.

And today we went to El Rastro flea market and browsed the bajillion stalls there. After that was a lazy afternoon in Parque Retiro. Layed eyes on the worlds oldest continually running restaurant too today, which is pretty cool.

Oh and i´ve had such good food too. There´s a super tasty crepe shop near my hostel and also a really yummy falafel place.

Ok so epicly lengthy blog but umm... dunno if I mentioned- MADRID IS AWESOME!! So gutted to be leaving tomorrow :( I´ll try not to leave it so long til my next blog! Hasta luego xx
