As our time in Ho Chi Minh nears an end we have finally got the hang of crossing the road and ordering food. They say that the food in Vietnam is some of the best in the world, and after today's lunch I am starting to believe them. We tried our first Vietnamese pancake, which is savory crepe full of vegetables and tofu yummy! Aside from attempting to find the best in local cuisine we have managed to fit in a few day tours. The first, to Cu Chi tunnels, was an interesting tour through the history and war tactics of the Vietcong. The underground tunnels that they lived in for weeks at a time were painstakingly small! We walked through a small section which was enough to make anyone feel claustrophobic! The second tour, on the Mekong, was a great way to get up close with some of the locals. We visited a coconut candy making factory, watched a Vietnamese "pop" performance, took a canoe ride through the small canals and held a live snake (well Audrey did!) We ended our day with some Tiger beer, fantastic Indian food and a live band to say goodbye to our woolpack + Catho!! With a relaxing day of masages and mani-pedis we are now getting excited for Laos tomorrow! Audrey can't wait to ride elephants!!
